Innovation is present in our DNA and we believe that strengthening a culture of innovation and digital transformation opens up opportunities for scalable and profitable new businesses, our customers experience and operational efficiency.

We created a corporate structure dedicated exclusively to the subject, which acts guided by the transformation and evolution of retail, seeking disruptive solutions to provide a unique experience to our customers.

The department is segmented on six different fronts: Ventures, with strategic investments in startups; Insights, in order to map opportunities and market trends; In Store, aiming to bring products, services and innovative concepts to our customers; IN, with the practical application of innovation within the Company, through ambassadors and pilot projects with startups; Connects, to foster internal and external culture of innovation; and Open, front for innovation open to the startup ecosystem.

There are two physical spaces to host events, workshops, lectures and meetings with our internal and external audiences on innovation themes: GPA Lab, at the Company’s headquarters in São Paulo, and GPA Open Labs, at Cubo, the largest hub of technological entrepreneurship in Latin America, also in São Paulo.
