GPA has innovation in its DNA and there is a corporate structure exclusively dedicated to the topic.
The department is responsible for initiatives that aim to strengthen relationship with retail startups and to identify innovative solutions that benefit GPA’s businesses. A successful example is Pitch Day Pão de Açúcar, which had its first edition in 2017.
Additionally, in 2017, GPA opened GPA Lab, a modern space at the Company’s headquarter in São Paulo created to stimulate Innovation internal culture and to receive internal and external events.
